As previously reported, Belfast based lecturer from the Institute of Innovative Education of the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, Associate Professor Natalia Tikhonova, with the assistance of Professor Gerard McCann, St Mary’s University College – Belfast gave a lecture “Ukraine: Past, Present and Future” for students and staff of the university. To a packed audience, the lecture turned out to be very informative and emotional, which could not leave its listeners indifferent. Touched by what she heard, College student Lauren McGeown took part in the Dublin marathon, during which she raised funds to help with humanitarian assistance in Ukraine, and which she handed over to representatives of the Ukrainians in Northern Ireland community group on 19.10.2023.
We, on behalf of all Ukrainians and the whole Ukraine, thank this young lady who is charming and has beautiful heart! Her initiative proves that there are no small things in the pursuit of justice!
Many thanks to the students union president and vice president, Dara Mooney & Niall Burns for the great support too. Each of us, being today in current circumstances, can take the initiative and take a step towards the victory of good against evil. If people of good will all over the world do such steps, it forms the path, along which humanity will confidently go towards peace on our common planet!
Once again, we thank Professor Gerard McCann for the constant support of our community and Ukraine.
