On 28 February 2026 at 12:00, nearly one hundred people gathered at the Ulster Museum in Belfast for a peaceful commemorative event marking the fourth anniversary of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine and standing in solidarity with Ukraine.

Our Goals

  • To commemorate four years since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
  • To raise awareness about the ongoing war and remind the public that it is far from over.
  • To honour and remember — with a moment of silence — the Ukrainians and all fighters for peace who have lost their lives.
  • To emphasise the continuing genocide of Ukrainians in every occupied city and village.
  • To draw attention to the deaths of civilians, including innocent children, women, and the elderly.
  • To express our heartfelt gratitude to the people of Northern Ireland for their hospitality and continued support.

The Event Programme Included

  • Singing of the Ukrainian National Anthem
  • A structured presentation on the ongoing war in Ukraine
  • Speeches from invited guests
  • A panel discussion with Questions & Answers
  • Updates on the current situation in Ukraine, often underrepresented in the media
  • A charity exhibition by Kyiv artists, “Icons On Ammunition Boxes” — icons painted on war ammunition boxes, transforming instruments of destruction into powerful symbols of hope.
