On 24th August, 2025, the annual multicultural festival Belfast MELA took place in Belfast, where as in previous years, Ukrainians in Northern Ireland charity proudly represented Ukrainian culture, shared our traditions, history, and hospitality, celebrated cultural diversity, and marked Ukraine’s Independence Day together.

During the festival, representatives of the Ukrainian community in Northern Ireland had the honour to meet and talk with Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Northern Ireland Alan Moore OBE TD DL, journalists and guests of the Belfast MELA festival.

In honour of Independence Day, volunteers of our organization and guests of the Ukrainian tent observed minute of silence and held a the “Chain of Unity” memorial event as a  powerful symbol of Ukraine’s indivisibility, independence, support and unwavering faith in the victory and happy future of the Ukrainian people.
