On 20th of May 2024, on Belfast City Hall grounds, Ukrainians in Northern Ireland put on display the ambulance vehicle, which was purchased thanks to over £6,000 funds raised at “Art for Life” Charity Exhibition & Art sale (which took place at Ulster University (Belfast), 22-26 February, 2024). We also filled this ambulance vehicle with the medical and humanitarian aid for Ukraine.

This display took place in order to express our gratitude to the many contributors including Ulster University which supported facilitating Charity Exhibition & Art sale, to artists who donated their paintings and to those guests who attended “Art for Life” Charity Exhibition & Art sale.

We express heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attend this display to express their support for Ukraine:

* Dawson Stelfox MBE DL, representing His Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant for Belfast; Mr Stelfox is also President of Royal Society of Ulster Architects and the first person from island of Ireland to reach the peak of Everest.

* Mariusz Stus (Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Belfast);

* Professor Duncan Morrow, Director of Community Engagement, Ulster University

* Alan Moore OBE TD DL, the member of the Ulster University Council;

* Representatives of St John Ambulance Northern Ireland and their chief executive, Adrian Donaldson;

* Councillor Paul Doherty;

* Anna Toriola, Belfast Chamber;

* Raymond & Florence Armstrong;

Special thanks to all volunteers who helped with this event.

This ambulance vehicle filled with the medical and humanitarian aid for Ukraine has already been sent to Ukraine to save more lives near the war zone in Ukraine.

Together we are strong!
