The Ukrainians in Northern Ireland were honoured to meet with the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland the Rt Hon Hilary Benn MP at a reception for the Honorary Consul of Ukraine at Hillsborough Castle on Thursday 28 November 2024.
19 November 2024 marks 1000 days since the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine. This month is also a time when we honor the memory of the victims of the Holodomor of 1932-1933, a genocide that took millions of Ukrainian lives.
On 14-15 November 2024, Consulate of Ukraine in Edinburgh provided consular service to citizens of Ukraine in Northern Ireland for the third time. This became possible thanks to the close cooperation of the Ukrainian community in Northern Ireland with the Consulate of Ukraine in Edinburgh, Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Northern Ireland and Ulster University.
On November 11, we commemorate the anniversary of the liberation of Kherson from occupation - an event that became a symbol of the indomitable Ukrainian spirit and the strength of our army.
