The Chairman and representatives of the Ukrainians in Northern Ireland Charity were delighted to take receipt of a redundant ambulance from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) which will shortly be exported to Ukraine to facilitate the medical retrieval and evacuation of severely wounded casualties from the front line in Eastern Ukraine.
The acquisition of this redundant ambulance was made possible with the kind agreement of NIAS who were supported by their Management Board and the Northern Ireland Department of Health.
Assistance on the acquisition was also provided by the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Northern Ireland and the Consulate of Ukraine in Edinburgh .
