Dear friends!

On August 25, 2024, the annual multicultural festival Belfast MELA took place in Belfast.

During the festival, representatives of the Ukrainian community in Northern Ireland had the honor to meet and talk with First Minister Michelle O’Neill MLA, Junior Minister Aisling Reilly MLA, Junior Minister Pam Cameron MLA, Dr. Nisha Tandon OBE (founder and CEO of ArtsEkta), as well as with Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Northern Ireland Alan Moore OBE TD DL.

In honor of Independence Day, volunteers of our organization and guests of the Ukrainian tent created the “Chain of Unity” as a symbol of support and unwavering faith in the victory and happy future of the Ukrainian people.

We are grateful to everyone who came to support the Ukrainian community on this day, as well as to our volunteers who organized a cozy Ukrainian corner in the heart of Belfast: Marina Furey, Oleg Shenkaruk, Kateryna Zaichyk, Nataliia Tikhonova, Zhanna Latysheva, Mykhailo Latyshev, Bogdan Danko, Tetyana Shevchuk, Andriy Cherpanyak, Oksana Cherpanyak, Nataliya Lapina. We would like to express special thanks to Marina Furey, who has been actively representing Ukraine at the MELA festival for many years.

Together we are a power!

Together we will win!

Glory to Ukraine!
