On 08.06.2024, the Annual General Meeting of the “Ukrainians in Northern Ireland” community group was held.
The meeting was attended by about 20 people, mostly Ukrainians from various cities in Northern Ireland.
There also were Ian Gibson and Polina Malcheva – representatives of the The Jethro Centre Lurgan, who ensured that the Annual General Meeting was held according to the rules of our Constitution and current legislation.
First, the chairman of our community Oleg Shenkaruk reported on the work done by our community and answered the questions. You can see the presentation of the report (in PDF format) at the following link:

Next, community treasurer Alina Zaruba reported the financial report and answered questions.
After that, the chairman of our community Oleg Shenkaruk informed that Ukrainians in Northern Ireland community group has obtained charity status and is now registered as an official charity organisation: «Ukrainians in NI Ltd», Charity Registration Number: NIC109987.
Therefore, within the meeting it was proposed a resolution to dissolve the “Ukrainians in Northern Ireland” Community Group, and to gift the community group assets to the new registered charity organisation “Ukrainians in NI Ltd”. This resolution was passed by a unanimous majority of votes.
All those present who expressed their wish to actively help on an ongoing basis provided their contact details and we will contact them in the nearest future.
