Please meet our marathon runners who will take part in the 2025 Belfast City Marathon relay – Sunday 4th May 2025:

1) Alan Moore:

“As the Honorary Consul for Ukraine in Northern Ireland, I have the great honour of participating in the relay race at the Belfast City Marathon alongside volunteers from the Ukrainians in NI Charity in their efforts to raise funds for Humanitarian Aid for Ukraine.
I would invite those who care for Ukraine to come along and lend their support to those of us who are running and also to come and say hello at the end of the race.”
2) Dr Vitaliy Ostropytskyy. Vitaliy has been working at University in Northern Ireland for over 20 years:
“I am honoured to participate in the relay team from the Ukrainians in Northern Ireland Charity Organisation which will take part in the 2025 Belfast City Marathon on Sunday 4th May 2025 to raise funds for our nominated charity “Ukrainians in NI”; all funds raised will be used to procure additional ambulance vehicles (along with medical and humanitarian aid) to be sent to Ukraine to save lives.
I would like to invite everyone to come along on Sunday 4th May 2025 to support our runners and cheer them on.”
3) Lauren McGeown🏃🏼‍♀️‍➡️
“I am delighted to be participating with the Ukrainians in NI relay team in the 2025 Belfast City Marathon on Sunday, the 4th of May 2025. We will be raising funds for the charity Ukrainians in NI where all funds will be used to send ambulance vehicles, humanitarian aid and medical aid to Ukraine to helps those most in need.”
4) Dr Volodymyr Shentsov, a lecturer and researcher at Ulster University, is dedicated to advancing hydrogen safety:
“This year, I’m running the Belfast City Marathon to stand with Ukraine and help save lives. We’re raising funds for much-needed ambulances and humanitarian aid.

5) Kateryna Bidolenko:
