Let us invite you to a remarkable cultural event, taking place for the very first time in Northern Ireland:
ICONS ON AMMUNITION BOXES – Charity Exhibition & Art sale
by Kyiv artists Sonya Atlantova and Oleksandr Klymenko
Venue: Armagh Robinson Library, 43 Abbey St, Armagh BT61 7DY
Official Opening: 9th October 2025 at 7:30pm
Exhibition Dates: 9th – 24th October 2025
Open Hours: Monday to Friday, 10am–1pm & 2pm–4pm
This extraordinary exhibition carries a profound symbolic meaning. Each icon is painted on fragments of wooden ammunition boxes brought directly from the frontlines of the war in Ukraine. What once bore death has been transformed into a powerful symbol of life, hope, and resilience.
Since 2014, Icons on Ammunition Boxes has been exhibited in over 20 countries — in parliaments, museums, and cultural institutions across Europe and North America — as a striking testimony to the triumph of life over destruction.
The presentation of this exhibition in Armagh is both a significant cultural occasion and a charitable endeavour. All proceeds will go towards ambulance & medical aid for Ukraine.
It would be a great honour to see you at this event.
