Today, it was the biggest attack launched on Ukraine since the beginning of a full-scale invasion on February 24th.
Over 80 missiles were launched to hit Ukrainian cities, civilian objects and infrastructure in Kyiv, Dnipro, Lviv, Zhytomyr, Mykolaiv, Kremenchyk, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Sumy, Kharkiv, Odesa, Zaporizhia, Kherson.
Many civilians were injured and there are fatal cases.
Russia is committing genocide against an independent country it can’t conquer, so instead, Russia is trying to wipe out civilians by killing thousands of innocent men, women and children.
Nonetheless, Russia can never conquer Ukraine, Russia will never break Ukrainians’ spirit and morale. Ukraine will emerge even stronger. Ukraine continues showing courage and strength and will never surrender.
We want world to:
1. Recognise Russia as a terrorist state.
2. Supply Ukraine with air defence and anti-missile systems.
3. Supply Ukraine with long-range missiles, ATACMS and fighter jets. Increase the supply of heavy arms to Ukraine, including battle tanks and IFVs.
4. Continue training Ukrainian soldiers.
To support Ukrainians in their great need for peace we are gathering today in Belfast near City Hall at 5 pm.
