Day of Independence of Ukraine!
Time: from 11 am to 6 pm
Place: Belfast City Hall/ Belfast City Hall
Our main goal this day will be to tell as many people as possible about Ukraine and what is happening there now, because the war is not over, Russian missiles are killing our children and civilians every day!
We will continue to collect funds for vehicles throughout the day. We have already held several events where we raised £4,865 and have already purchased one car for Ukraine, which will go to help Ukraine very soon. For which we are grateful to everyone who has already helped us in this.
We (Ukrainians in Northern Ireland community group) are collecting funds for the most urgent Humanitarian Aid needs in Ukraine. The funds raised will be spent on all terrain ambulances and pickup/ off-road vehicles for:
• difficult-to-pass ruined roads;
• for evacuation of civilians and injured;
• to deliver essential services, water and food.
Our goal is to raise funds for 10 cars. We will be very grateful for everyone’s contribution!
Donations will be available on August 24th outside Belfast City Hall, you will recognize our community fundraisers. Also, if there is an opportunity, you can transfer funds to our volunteer organization or to PayPal, which will be spent on the above purposes. Since Independence Day is a big day for every Ukrainian, Our Ukrainians in Northern Ireland Community Group organizes:
– photo zone in the Ukrainian style (hopefully the weather will be good for it)
– exhibition of traditional Ukrainian souvenirs
